Medication Management
A frequent - and often crucial - part of the treatment plan for a mental health condition is medication management. This includes:
-
consideration of the use of pharmacotherapy to treat the condition
-
the discussion of past medication trials
-
consideration of co-occurring medical conditions
-
consideration of medication interactions and side effects
-
education on the purpose, risks, benefits, usage, and safekeeping of medications
-
prescribing medications
After an initial evaluation, follow-up visits are an important part of the treatment plan. During these appointments, we will evaluate the prescribed treatment regimen and make adjustments as necessary.

Follow-up visits generally last approximately 20-40 minutes, or longer if therapy is incorporated into the treatment plan.
